Friend -

You might be wondering why we’ve been emailing you more lately and I want to be honest with you - we need your help.

March for Moms started as a march. A march on Washington to bring maternal health to the attention of our nation’s leaders. Our entire community was founded on coming together for the greater good. We’re both literally and figuratively fighting for the future.

So, supporters like you are an integral part of our efforts to keep maternal health in the national conversation and in legislation being debated as I write this.

Of course, times are tough for everyone. COVID-19 has hurt our country, our communities, and our maternal health support systems in lasting and dire ways. But you know what drives me to do this work every day?

It’s knowing that over 15,000 pregnant people have been diagnosed with COVID-19 in America.

Black and Hispanic women in America already faced a racist and inaccessible healthcare system. Adding pregnancy and a pandemic to the mix means that their risk of poor outcomes and disrespectful care are higher than ever before.

Systemic racism has built a system that puts Black and Hispanic women at an economic and health disadvantage. So, tell me this, if you and I don’t make their well-being a priority...if we don’t take action to prove that their well-being matters...who will?

This is a fight worth fighting.

Even in the toughest times.

And I need you with me.

Support March for Moms today so we can keep fighting for all families at one of the most vulnerable times in their lives. So we can elevate the voices of moms around the country - who need our support more than ever. [[link removed]]
