I'm reaching out because I just got our newest poll, and it's a tough one: It shows us trailing by 6 points.

MAGA donors have already poured hundreds of thousands of dollars into this race, and this poll will only encourage them to spend even more trying to buy this election, flip New Mexico red, and bring Donald Trump's extreme agenda to our state. This is an all-hands-on-deck moment, friend. I am reaching out personally because we need every single grassroots supporter like you who believes in the future of New Mexico to step up right now. Will you chip in $5 before midnight to help us fight back? Every dollar will help us close this gap, compete with Republican spending, travel the state to meet with New Mexicans, and help me win this November.

I've faced long odds before, friend. I raised my child as a single mom, learning how to stretch every dollar, work multiple jobs, and keep going even when things felt impossible. 

People counted me out.

When I decided to take my experience and run for Congress, people didn't think I could win. But I knew what I was fighting for, and I knew I had a grassroots team that never stopped believing in me. Together, we made history. You helped elect me as one of the first Native American women elected to Congress and then the first Native American Cabinet Secretary in U.S. history.

And while this poll might make some people think they can count me out again, I know better. I know what this grassroots team is capable of. 

Because this fight has never been about a poll or a title. It’s about fighting for New Mexicans and delivering real results: lowering costs for working families, strengthening our schools, protecting our public lands, expanding access to healthcare, investing in mental health and addiction resources, and creating more opportunities in every corner of our state.

The same people who counted me out before are the same people who underestimate what this team can accomplish — so let’s prove them wrong. Together, we can make history again and build a future where every New Mexican has a fair shot. I know what this grassroots team can do when we come together.
