Team,

My name is Troy Jackson, and I’m honored to be Maine’s Democratic nominee for U.S. Senate to defeat Susan Collins.

If you don’t know me yet, I want to tell you more about who I am — but if you’re short on time and you’re already fired up, here’s the gist: Our campaign is starting from the ground up. Susan Collins has already amassed a whopping $10 million in this race. We need to show Donald Trump and Collins that we’re ready to win, so will you give $5 right now? → [[link removed]]

Team, I’m not a slick politician.

I'm a fifth-generation logger from Allagash. Just like my father and grandfather.

I grew up a poor kid in a town full of poor kids. My family didn’t always have it easy.

When I was 11 years old, I was with my dad in the woods as he and his fellow loggers stood up to a wealthy landowner trying to cut their wages.

That was when I first realized that the people in power were not always looking out for everyday people like my dad and our family.

After I became a logger myself and got into a big labor fight of my own, I got into politics to look out for the interests of working people. I served for 20 years in the Maine legislature. Six of those years were spent as President of the Maine Senate.

While I was in the legislature, I represented a district that voted for Susan Collins, and for Donald Trump.

I won in that district because I understand the struggles working people are going through, because I’m not a fancy politician born with a silver spoon in his mouth.

Now I'm running for U.S. Senate, in a race that will decide who controls the Senate majority.

Team, I’ll be up front with you. I hate sending fundraising emails. I’m not a slick politician, I’m not fancy or rich, and I certainly don’t come from money or a political dynasty. I'm a logger who talks a little funny.

But here’s what I know about Maine: I know how to win in the places Democrats are told they can't, and I know that we have what it takes to defeat Susan Collins this November. If you’re with me, can I count on you to chip in $5 now? [[link removed]]
