A farmer near Carrington telling me the tariffs have wrecked his markets and nobody in Washington seems to care. A young couple in Minot doing the math on groceries, insurance, and a mortgage and coming up short every month. Retirees worried about what these people in Congress are going to do to Social Security next.

None of them are asking for a handout. They are asking why they are working harder than their parents did and falling further behind.

I roughnecked in the Bakken. I ran freight on the railroad. I taught school. I have spent my whole adult life around people who work with their hands, and I am telling you the math is not working for them anymore.

We don’t have to accept this as business as usual.

These are choices being made by people in Washington, and our congresswoman has voted for nearly all of them. She backed the bill that cut health care to pay for tax breaks at the top. She has said nothing while tariffs squeeze our producers. She votes with this administration and calls it a day.

I did not get into this race for a title. I got in because someone has to go to Washington and fight for the people I have spent my life working beside.

That fight takes resources. Every dollar goes into reaching the North Dakotans who feel exactly what I just described and do not yet know they have a candidate who gets it.
