We have days left in July. 

Here is exactly where things stand.

Republicans hold a slim majority in the United States Senate. 

Democrats need to flip just four seats to take it back. Right now they
have a clear path to get them.

Cook Political Report has already moved Alaska into the Toss-Up
column. North Carolina is rated Lean Democrat. Maine is in chaos after
Graham Platner dropped out and Democrats scramble to replace him with
a stronger nominee. And in Texas, James Talarico has already raised
more than $70 million with the full weight of the Democrat machine
behind him.

Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, who chairs the Democratic Senatorial
Campaign Committee, said it plainly. She sees all the makings of a
blue wave heading into November.

That is not spin. That is a warning.

Dave is helping Republicans fight back. But he needs reinforcements
right now, in the middle of summer, when most people are out of pocket
and the other side is hoping conservatives go quiet.
