In the Greater Manchester Mayoral by-election Labour members and volunteers are doing exactly that. They’re giving their time by knocking on doors and making calls to help elect Labour’s Bev Craig and beat Reform.

But this is not an ordinary by-election.

The scale is unprecedented: ten boroughs, hundreds of communities and an enormous electorate. With just five days to go, that is a huge amount of ground to cover.

We need to raise funds this weekend to power our final leaflets, ads and our polling-day operation.
