Expanding health care coverage. Fighting climate change. Protecting Dreamers. Defending our elections from foreign interference and guaranteeing the right to vote for everyone. Issues like these should unite us as Americans. But sadly, the Republican Party is standing in the way.

Senate Republicans and President Trump already had a host of issues that should have never been partisan political fights -- and now they're adding the pandemic and racial injustice to that long list. This is shameful, John. And the American people deserve better.

On top of everything else, Republicans are now turning the U.S. Postal Service -- an institution which 90% of Americans support and millions of people depend on -- into a political football. Politically-motivated changes at the USPS are now threatening the delivery of everything from prescription drugs for our seniors to Americans' ability to cast their votes by mail in this election.

John, issues like these should be bigger than politics. But we simply can't count on Mitch McConnell and the Senate GOP for anything other than partisanship.
