John,Before I'm a candidate, I'm a mom.

I'm also a small business owner. A Navy veteran. A former Congresswoman. And a daughter of Alabama who joined the Navy at 17 and spent two decades sailing the world in service of a country I love deeply.

I share all of that because I want you to understand why I’m in this race, and why I’m writing this email to you today.

I’ve spent my entire adult life trying to leave things better than I found them, and I’m asking for your help today because I cannot do what comes next without it.

When I lost my seat in 2022, it was a hard pill to swallow. I'd given everything I had to that job and to the January 6th Committee work that almost certainly cost me the election.

Even still, I never fully stepped away.

I went home to Coastal Virginia and kept showing up for local elections, knocking on doors for candidates I believed in, and staying involved in the civic life of my community.

But I kept waking up at 3 A.M. thinking about my country. Thinking about my daughter Violette, the extraordinary young woman she's becoming, and the America she's going to inherit someday.

I couldn't shake it. No matter how hard I tried to step back, I kept coming back to the same question:

If not me, then who?

So here I am, back in the arena, running in one of the most competitive districts in the country in a race that could decide the House majority. Because the people of Coastal Virginia deserve a representative who will fight for them with everything she has.

My favorite title isn't Congresswoman or Commander. It's Mom. And everything I do in this race, I do for Violette and for every family in this district who needs a champion.

Today, I'm humbly asking you to support me. Whatever you can give — $5, $25, even $50 — I want you to know I’m deeply grateful for it, and I will make it count in the months and years to come. [[link removed]]
