Happy Labor Day! 

For all those who have fought for the rights of employees, I am grateful.

I'm looking at you Mother Jones.

As many of you know, I grew up in a union house and the appreciation for what unions do for the working class was instilled in me at a young age. Though I have never been a member of a union, I still have the greatest appreciation for what the labor movement has done. I know I wouldn't have a 40 hour work week, safe working conditions, health benefits, or paid vacation time (just to name a few) without it. But there is still work to be done.

I am dedicated to ensuring the rights of all working people to unionize, if they so choose. I will resist any National Right to Work bill that would come to the House floor. The workers of America deserve better.
