| John,
Steve wrote to you about Homeland Security threatening election officials with prison time. We want to show you how quickly that threat falls apart.
The demand is that states run their voter rolls through a federal database, with federal grant money held hostage if they refuse.
The problem? A federal judge already blocked the use of that database for this purpose. We can’t let this disinformation go unanswered. Will you chip in $5 or more to help Steve push back?

It gets worse for the Trump administration:
❌ The court found that repurposing that database violated rules protecting Social Security records.
❌ The administration's headline number about noncitizens on voter rolls didn't even match the Secretary's own letter, which called it an initial estimate.
❌ And the Constitution is unambiguous: states run elections. Not the federal government.
So we have threats of imprisonment, built on a blocked database, citing numbers the administration itself has walked back, to enforce authority the federal government does not have.
This isn't election security. It's intimidation.
Steve has been clear that Minnesota won't be intimidated. He refused unlawful demands for private voter data. He went to court against this administration's overreach, and won.
He'll do it again because he’s standing up for us.
But he can't do it without grassroots support. Please chip in today.
Thank you for being part of this.
