   *Gov. Reynolds announces Small Business Administration assistance for storm-damaged counties*  DES MOINES— Today, Governor Kim Reynolds announced the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) has granted her request to provide assistance in the form of low-interest disaster loans for eight counties impacted by severe storms, heavy rain, and flash flooding between July 2 and 4, 2026.  Homeowners, renters, businesses, and most nonprofit organizations in Boone, Dallas, Jasper, Madison, Marion, Polk, Story, and Warren Counties whose property was damaged or destroyed by this disaster can apply for low-interest disaster loans from the SBA. Additionally, small businesses, agricultural cooperatives, and most private, nonprofit organizations impacted by the severe weather will be eligible to apply for working capital loans.   Disaster loan applications can be submitted online at _lending.sba.gov_ [ [link removed] ]_ _or in person at designated assistance centers.
