Pride 2026
Road closures for annual Notts Pride event

Notts Pride returns tomorrow (Saturday 25) with the theme 'Bolder and Brighter', promising the biggest, boldest and brightest celebration of Nottingham’s LGBTQ+ communities yet.

The march begins at Listergate at noon, heading through the city centre and ending at Sneinton Market. From 12.45pm the Main Stage at Sneinton Market Square will host a line-up of entertainment. More fringe events and activities will take place across Sneinton Market Avenues, Hockley and the new Rainbow Quarter.

Notts Pride remains completely free to attend, creating a safe and inclusive space where LGBTQ+ communities and allies can celebrate together.

There will be a number of road closures [ [link removed] ] in the city centre to facilitate the march, which will also affect NET Tram [ [link removed] ], trentbarton [ [link removed] ] and Nottingham City Transport [ [link removed] ] services.

Wilkinson Street
Planned maintenance sees buses replace trams

NET trams have reminded passengers that buses will replace trams for a fortnight on a section of the network, starting this weekend.

Between Sunday (26 July) and Sunday 9 August, work will be carried out to replace track at Wilkinson Street and Noel Street. Normal service will resume on Monday 10 August.

There will be no tram services operating between Wilkinson Street and The Forest, with a replacement bus service travelling in a loop to serve both stops.

NET have asked passengers to allow additional time for their journey. Customers who usually park in the Wilkinson Street car park are encouraged to consider using The Forest instead to minimise disruption to their journey.

For more detailed information about these works may impact you, see here [ [link removed] ]

Skylink Trent Barton
Two services will no longer stop at Broad Marsh

Trentbarton is making changes to some of its bus services following a review of customer use and punctuality.

From this Sunday (26 July), the Cotgrave and Skylink express services will no longer serve the Broad Marsh bus station. [ [link removed] ]

The operator said extensive surveying found that 90 per cent of customers leaving Nottingham use stops on Friar Lane, Beastmarket Hill or Nottingham train station, rather than the bus station.

Trentbarton said removing the bus station from these routes would also help improve punctuality by around three to five minutes.

From the same date, the Cotgrave service will run directly from Beastmarket Hill to Nottingham train station, while Skylink express will run directly from Friar Lane to the station.

There will also be minor changes throughout both timetables.

Tram bridge and lift
Lift to tram platform temporarily out of action

NET trams continue to work on the Station Street lift, which is being replaced over the coming weeks and is temporarily out of use.

The works will run until Friday 14 August and will see a new lift installed to take people between street level and the tram bridge above.

Alternative lifts are available inside the train station and at the car park next door - both serve the tram platform. Access via the stairs at Station Street will remain during the work.
