It feels like Donald Trump was just in Scranton, and now Mike Pence will be here in 48 hours. I guess they never said defending a swing seat that is one of the GOP’s top targets to take back the House would be easy. And it hasn’t been.

But I am more energized than ever to win re-election and keep fighting for everyday Americans. Because elections have consequences, and the consequences have never been higher.

Last weekend I took a vote to defend the Post Office, while many of my Republican colleagues followed the party line to watch our postal service fail.

Congressional Republicans remained silent when the President raided the Social Security budget because he was unwilling to negotiate on COVID-19 relief funding.

And finally, our efforts to help workers and families who are still hurting in this pandemic are stalled in the Senate because of Mitch McConnell and a GOP agenda that prioritizes special interests, not people.

The Republican Party line hurts workers, hurts seniors, and hurts...well, everyone who relies on the postal service. And now they want to flip my seat red and replace me with a yes-man to join them in all these causes.

But I’m not going down without a fight, and if you’re in my corner, I know we can pull it off. But my team tells me that we are still $3,451 short of our End-of-Month fundraising deadline goal. Next month we will be expanding our organizing efforts, launching new ads, and expanding our paid media - we can’t afford to miss a budget goal.
