Fellow patriot,

Our majority does not belong to any one of us. It is a shared trust, held
together by a handful of seats in a handful of states, and it can be lost in a
single bad November.

I have served long enough to know that the work of protecting it does not
happen in the fall, when the cameras arrive.It happens now, in July, in the
quiet, when campaigns in Georgia and Michigan and Maine are deciding whether
they can afford the staff and the advertising they will need. Every dollar
raised this month reaches them while it still makes a difference, and every
dollar we fail to raise is a door we leave open for Chuck Schumer to walk
through. That is the whole of it. No drama and no gimmicks, just the honest
arithmetic of how a majority is kept.

So I am asking, plainly and without apology, for your help.
