We are twelve days out from the August 4 primary. Ballots are already being cast.
I'm not going to write you a long email today. I just want to ask you for something small.
Will you chip in just $3 to help my campaign run through the tape in two weeks?
$3 is important to me because I don't take a dime of corporate PAC money — no special interests, no strings, nobody I'd owe once I get to Washington.
That's the right way to run, and it's the only way I'd do it. But it means this campaign is built entirely out of small donations from people like you, three and five and ten dollars at a time.
Three dollars is nothing to the interests lined up on the other side. Multiplied by enough of us, it's how an unbought campaign wins a race like this one.
