Illinois Democrats are already attacking election-integrity efforts before the 2026 midterms.
They are objecting to federal efforts around election mail and voter-list transparency while treating basic safeguards like some kind of emergency.
Here is our view: every legal vote should count, elections should be secure, and voters deserve confidence in the process.
That should not be controversial.
But in Illinois, the Democrat machine has grown comfortable with rules that protect the machine first and voters second. When Republicans ask for transparency, they call it a threat. When Democrats fight oversight, they call it democracy.
