🏫 In Landmark Antisemitism Settlement, Reed College Agrees to Sweeping Reforms

ADL and the Louis D. Brandeis Center for Human Rights Under Law have reached a historic settlement agreement with Reed College, resolving two Title VI complaints alleging antisemitic discrimination and harassment. Reed agreed to implement one of the nation’s most comprehensive sets of reforms addressing campus antisemitism, including adoption of the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) Working Definition of Antisemitism, mandatory antisemitism training and stronger campus policies to protect Jewish and Israeli students.

ADL CEO Jonathan Greenblatt praised the settlement with the Oregon college and urged other school administrators to take similar steps: “After Jewish students were subjected to violent and persistent antisemitism on campus, we are pleased that Reed College has committed to meaningful, immediate and long-term action to ensure that the civil rights of Jewish students are protected and affirmed that antisemitism has no place on campus.”

👨‍👨‍👦‍👦 ADL Lifts Groups Fighting Antisemitism: Hazak is ADL’s first-of-its-kind grassroots accelerator. Through the program, trusted leaders gain ADL-informed tools, guidance and networks that help them strengthen their work. The groups in the first Hazak cohort are already making an impact — achieving significant wins for Jewish educators; creating an innovative best-practices guide for antisemitism incident response in the healthcare field and providing Hazak organizations with ADL-led training sessions and toolkits on how to message effectively about antisemitism. Hazak is also helping break the isolation many grassroots leaders feel. As one fellow shared, “It’s nice to not feel alone in the fight.”

🌎 Remembering the AMIA Victims: Last week, ADL was in Argentina to mark the 32nd anniversary of the Iranian regime-masterminded attack on the AMIA Jewish Community Center. This was the deadliest antisemitic terror attack in the Americas. As ADL SVP Marina Rosenberg wrote, “The AMIA tragedy does not belong to the past.” This is not just a moment of remembrance; it’s a reminder of the urgent need to confront antisemitism and terrorism everywhere.

📢 Influencer Infests Israel: Braden Peters, the American influencer known as “Clavicular,” recently livestreamed from Tel Aviv, and Israelis could not agree on what to make of him. Six months ago, he sang along to Ye’s “Heil Hitler” alongside Nick Fuentes and said he'd do it again. Provocation is his product. 🤝 Building Bridges: Strengthening the relationships that are essential to shared efforts to combat antisemitism, ADL’s Jackie Subar shared our insights at the American Muslim & Multifaith Women’s Empowerment Council’s conference on antisemitism and hate in Washington, D.C. Attendees included members of Congress, clergy, influencers and female leaders committed to advancing a united response to rising extremism.

🏆 ADL was honored to support the hundreds of athletes and coaches from the Team USA delegation to the Maccabiah games in Israel. We hosted a custom version of ADL’s powerful Words to Action program about responding to antisemitism, and their responses were eye-opening. The young athletes were particularly grateful to have a safe space to share their stories of difficult experiences — for some, this was the first time they talked about the challenges they have faced as young Jews. Even after the sessions ended, they kept the discussion going and dug into ADL resources.

This isn’t just political theater. It’s a dangerous dereliction of duty. Who appointed Zohran Mamdani prosecutor, judge and jury? Wasn’t he elected mayor of New York City? The groceries aren’t cheaper. Inflation hasn’t eased. The streets aren’t safer. Yet he remains relentlessly obsessed with the world’s only Jewish state — even as Jewish New Yorkers face record levels of antisemitism and the city confronts urgent problems that demand his attention. Remember that, just days after the October 7 massacre — the deadliest day for Jews since the Holocaust — he was already in the streets accusing Israel of “imminent genocide.” Before the victims were even buried, he had chosen his villain. That obsession reveals two things: First, an antisemitic worldview that doesn’t merely distort his judgment — it drives it. Second, the play-acting instincts of a perpetual student activist who’s never actually run anything, learning on the job at our expense. Mayor Mamdani, this isn’t the Model UN. It’s New York City. Do your job.
