This week, the Permanent Trump Secure Border Act (H.R.9773), introduced by Rep. Chip Roy (TX-21), PASSED through the House Judiciary Committee!
Now we need to pass it on the House floor.
Will you email your representative today to remind them that border protection is NOT optional; it’s an obligation in our Constitution for the federal government to provide for the common defense.
H.R. 9773 reflects the top policies from the Secure the Border Act of 2023 (H.R. 2), to make much needed reforms to currently broken asylum laws, and more!
Under Biden, our country and its citizens’ safety were at risk each day. Now we know our White House is working to fight back against illegal immigration, drug trafficking across the border, and more to keep Americans protected and secure behind our borders.
However, this progress is at risk if we leave it in the form of Executive action alone. To protect our citizens from a reversal of these administrative rules, Congress must pass legislation to codify secure border polices into law before it’s too late.
Urge Congress to call for a vote on H.R. 9773 and to pass it soon! Don’t let the safety of Americans fall to the back burner of congressional priorities.
