Friends, it’s Mad here. I’ll be upfront: I’m going to ask you for a donation to support my re-election campaign. [[link removed]]
But before I do, I want to tell you a little about where I come from — and how those early experiences shaped the values that still guide me every single day.
I was born and raised in Glenside, Pennsylvania, the youngest of Mary and Bob Dean's seven children. Growing up with five older brothers and one older sister meant there was never a quiet dinner table.
We debated everything — from politics to current events — and everyone was expected to speak up, defend their views, and listen to one another.

Can you find me?
Those lively family dinners shaped me in more ways than I realized at the time. They taught me to stand up for what I believe in, to listen to people who disagree with me, to find common ground whenever possible, and to never stay silent when something isn't right.
We had those conversations with everyone in my neighborhood, and perhaps that’s why, at just 18, some of my neighbors encouraged me to run for local committee person. Looking back, it's funny how little has changed. Even then, I knew that we had to argue from the truth — and believed that government works best when people step up instead of standing on the sidelines.
I’ve carried the same values with me throughout my life, as a mother, as a professor, as a Pennsylvania State Legislator, and now as the Congresswoman representing Pennsylvania’s 4th Congressional District.
Serving in Congress is one of the greatest honors of my life — a privilege I don’t take for granted. I work to deliver for the people I represent and to defend the integrity of our democracy. That means taking on the fights that matter, not just the ones that are easy.
And my record reflects that commitment.
I served as an impeachment manager during Donald Trump's second impeachment trial because accountability isn't optional; fought to protect affordable health care and food assistance after Republicans voted to slash them; pushed to help workers, families, and small businesses hurt by Donald Trump's reckless and illegal tariffs.
I’m committed to strengthening our democracy and making sure government actually works for the people it's supposed to serve.
And our work is far from over.
Under Donald Trump’s incompetent leadership, extremists continue attacking our democracy, our freedoms, and the programs families depend on. Instead of slowing down, there has never been a more important time for us to keep fighting back.
I’m asking for your support today to help me continue the fight in Congress and flip the House blue: [[link removed]]
