Friend,

As if there wasn't enough going on, there’s a chance that the House will vote to get rid of the time change that occurs twice a year.

Personally, I'm against it -- because I can hear the complaints already.

Remember: We tried permanent Daylight Savings Time in the 70s, and it wasn't well-received.

Doing this again would drastically change the time when the sun rises and sets, especially in December and June.

And I’m worried with Daylight Savings Time all year that kids would be in school a whole period before the sun even rises in the Winter.

But here's the thing: As strong as my opinions are here, my job is to ultimately represent what's best for my neighbors, my community, my district, and -- ultimately -- for you.

So, friend, what do you think? And while you're here, let me know how you are feeling about everything else going on in Washington, and what I can do to help through the rest of this session. [[link removed]]

What are your biggest issues? [[link removed]]

I always appreciate the chance to hear directly from neighbors across Central and Northwestern Illinois. Your questions, concerns, and ideas help me better represent our communities in Congress.

-Eric
