Here’s a hard truth about what it will take to flip this Senate seat:

North Carolina doesn’t do landslides. Multiple recent polls say our race is down to single digits. Major election forecasters have rated our race a “toss-up.” Plus, Nate Silver’s FiveThirtyEight released an analysis saying North Carolina’s Senate race is “likely to be very close in November.”

Experts are even saying North Carolina will be the most expensive Senate race in the country, and Mitch McConnell’s corporate donor network is spending millions of dollars on negative attacks designed to tear us down and blunt our campaign’s momentum.

It all comes down to this: This election will be a squeaker, which means everything we do right now will make a meaningful difference in the final outcome.
