As many of you know, after being defunded of taxpayer dollars for one year, Planned Parenthood is tragically receiving government money once again after the defund provision expired on July 4th.

Of all the things our government could be spending our money on, why is subsidizing abortion businesses among them?

While the failure to extend the defunding so far is a setback, we remain undeterred. Live Action is in this fight for the long haul, and we are not backing down.

Last Thursday, Live Action held a joint press conference with other Defund Coalition partners to demand an end to taxpayer funding of Planned Parenthood and other abortion businesses once and for all.

In addition to prominent pro-life leaders and voices, we were also joined by several elected officials, including Senator Josh Hawley who appealed to his fellow legislators to end the madness and cut off funding from Planned Parenthood:

“Congress should have acted long ago. There is no excuse for Planned Parenthood to be receiving taxpayer money to be carrying out the mutilation of our children, to be carrying out the murder of the innocent unborn, and yet that is what this Congress is planning to do. I’m here to say, ‘not on my watch’. It is absolutely unacceptable and indefensible that a Republican Congress would fund Planned Parenthood.”

John, we need your continued support in this fight. Our federal government will not act on behalf of preborn children if they are not receiving overwhelming pressure from the American people.
