Meet Charles C. W. Cooke: Charles C. W. Cooke is a British-born American journalist, author, podcast host, and political commentator recognized for his sharp constitutional analysis, transatlantic perspective, and influential voice in modern conservative thought. Best known for his long-standing role at National Review, where he serves as a senior writer and formerly led the publication’s online editorial operations, Cooke has built a reputation for thoughtful commentary on American politics, free speech, federalism, the Constitution, and the evolving relationship between government and individual liberty.

Yesterday, high school junior Ella Frei took the podium at a New Richmond school board meeting to speak out against a district policy allow male students into girls' restrooms based on gender identity.

Representing Frei and local families, WILL previously filed a lawsuit in federal court alleging violations of Title IX and 14th Amendment which prohibits sex discrimination. Check out Ella's full clip below.

One Month Left In "What America Means to Me Contest"

In celebration of the United States' 250th anniversary, WILL launched the “What America Means to Me” student contest, an initiative designed to encourage the next generation to engage and learn more about America’s founding principles.

Consistent with WILL’s mission to advance the public interest in the rule of law, individual liberty, constitutional government, and a robust civil society, this contest invites students in kindergarten through 12th grade to reflect on the meaning of freedom in their own lives. This contest is open to all public, charter, private, and homeschool students who are citizens of the United States and reside in Wisconsin.

All submissions are due by August 15, 2026. Cash prizes will be awarded!
