The evidence is devastating. We documented cases of individuals like Michael, a gay man who won refugee protection in a U.S. court—only to be secretly shackled, placed on a plane without being told where he was going, and abandoned in Equatorial Guinea.
He isn't alone. Our report shows that even people who have already met the highest legal standard for protection in the United States are being sent to countries where they remain at serious risk.
