Hi John,
I want to thank you for being a part of our growing movement.
My name is Rachel Deitch, and I’m the Director of Policy and Social Justice at the Center for Freethought Equality and the American Humanist Association.
What an exciting last few weeks we’ve had!
Just earlier this month, Rep. Rashida Tlaib -- one of the first Muslim women ever elected to Congress -- joined the Congressional Freethought Caucus. The caucus (which we helped organize) works tirelessly to defend the separation of church and state, to promote compassionate policy based on reason, science, and moral values, and to advocate for secular government and freedom of thought across the country and across the world.
Our numbers and our resources are growing -- and we are now in a stronger position than ever to stand against the forces of religious extremism, increase the political clout of our community, and lobby for progressive legislation that will secure the civil rights of our citizens and make for a brighter future for our country. That’s why we’re reaching out to you now. We’d like to keep our records up-to-date on the issues that are most important to you and get an idea of what kind of action you’d like to see next. We’ve prepared a brief survey -- will you please tell us your thoughts now?
Will you take our brief issues survey?

Thank you for your input -- we couldn’t do the work we do without you.
