I’m excited to announce a virtual event for two candidates whose elections
are must-wins if we are to take a pro-democracy, pro-peace majority in the
House come November.

We’ll gather on Monday, July 27 at 6pm ET / 3pm PT to support Cait Conley
and JoAnna Mendoza: two veterans and members of the ‘Hell Cats,’ a group
of Democratic veterans running to unseat vulnerable Republican incumbents
in key battleground districts!

At age 17, JoAnna Mendoza joined the Navy. After serving for three years,
she then joined the Marine Corps, became a Drill Instructor, deployed to
Iraq and Afghanistan and served in the military for over 20 years. Mendoza
is now running to unseat Republican Representative Juan Ciscomani in
Arizona’s 6th Congressional District. Ciscomani has served as a blind
rubber stamp for Trump, backing votes that jack up everyday costs, gut
healthcare and abandon everyday Americans.

Cait Conley is a 16-year Army veteran running to unseat GOP incumbent Mike
Lawler in New York’s 17th Congressional District. MAGA Mike Lawler is one
of the largest recipients of contributions from AIPAC – and consistently
has voted to pursue endless wars and destabilize the Middle East.
Meanwhile, Conley has completed six overseas deployments, including combat
tours in Iraq and Afghanistan, and earned three Bronze Stars. She
understands the true cost of unnecessary wars and will fight for
diplomacy-first policies in Congress.
