I said something on national radio that I need you to hear directly from me.



I told Governor Abbott — and the entire country — that James Talarico has a
real chance to flip this Senate seat.



I meant every word of it.



The polling right now shows this is a 1 or 2-point race. That is not a
comfortable margin. That is a razor's edge. And I've been in a race this close
before — I know exactly what it feels like when the ground starts shifting
underneath you.



Here's what makes Talarico dangerous. Yes, he's a radical. He believes God is
nonbinary. He says there are six recognized sexes. He thinks boys should play
in girls' sports.But he's also charming. He's affable. He sounds like a
preacher. And I worry about voters who aren't paying close attention — who turn
on the TV and think,oh, he seems like a nice young man.



That's how you lose a Senate seat.



This race is not just about Texas. Schumer only needs a handful of seats to
take back the Senate majority.If he gets them, the Trump agenda is finished.
Tax relief — gone. Border security — gone.

Conservative judges — blocked.



I will not let that happen. But I cannot stop it alone.
