Dear Friend,
This mother dog was wasting away as she suffered from a hazard common among
hungry dogs forced to scavenge for scraps of food. A piece of bone had become
painfully wedged in her jaw, preventing her from eating or drinking and putting
her life and those of her nursing puppies at risk.
Kind people like you are critical to PETA's projects supporting Animal Rahat's
work, helping the group respond immediately when dogs' and other animals' lives
are at risk.

Animal Rahat removed the troublesome bone, but it didn't stop there. The team
sterilized the mother and her two pups, preventing them from contributing to the
homeless-animal crisis with future unwanted litters.
Today, Mom and puppies are all thriving and Animal Rahat continues to check in
on them, always with a hearty meal in tow. And they're not the only ones the
group helps: Every day, the organization comes to the aid of cats, donkeys,
bullocks, and other animals who need the team's help to survive.
Your gift will mean that more dogs and other animals will be fed and sterilized,
more rescues will take place, and more emergency care will be given to those in
dire need. Make a special gift right now and it will go twice as far, thanks to a generous
offer by donor Candace C. Carmichael, who will match all donations—up to the
$25,000 goal—through August 31! Even $2 can help.

Thank you for your compassion and support.
Kind regards,
Ingrid E. Newkirk
President
