Today, instead of talking about her achievements, like lowering drug prices, expanding health care access, and protecting the US Postal Service, I want to talk about what a powerful ally Abby is.

Just hours -- seriously, hours -- after our wedding, the derecho hit Iowa, including our own home. Abby kicked into full gear working to help neighbors clean up, deliver supplies, and call on the Governor and the President to deliver urgent relief to Iowans in need.

Abby is relentless. There’s no end to her strength when it comes to fighting for the things she loves, whether that's her family, friends, or people she’s sworn to represent.

There is no one too powerful, too influential, or too wealthy that she won’t hold accountable when it comes to protecting Iowans.

And when Abby sees a problem -- whether that’s a veteran who can’t get their benefits, a factory with unsafe working conditions, or Iowans struggling to find quality employment -- she doesn’t rest until she’s found a solution.

Abby does so much for Iowa because she loves this community. But it’s up to us to make sure she can continue working alongside us as our advocate in Washington.
