Category 5 Winds of 185 MPH at Landfall

Homes in the Bahamas are built to withstand 150 mph winds and many
hurricanes have hit the island country in the past. But last night,
Hurricane Dorian made landfall with winds of 185 mph and gusts of more
than 220 mph and many homes could not hold up.

Hurricane Dorian continues to violently batter the islands throughout
today. In a press conference, the Bahamian Prime Minister tearfully
said, "You cannot tell the difference as to the beginning of the street,
versus where the ocean begins."

Here's what we know so far about the catastrophic conditions in the
Bahamas.

By tomorrow, Dorian may have reached the East Coast of the United States
and experts are undecided as to where it will make landfall - and
whether it will still be a category 5. So please, if you are on the East
Coast, follow the suggestions at the end of today's article and GET
READY.

Be safe,
Daisy
