Hi, it’s Wendy Davis.

Let me tell you a bit about why Gina’s campaign is so important to me.

I grew up in Texas. I’ve raised my children, built a career, and made a
life here.

Early on, I learned that Texas was special. That no matter where you
started, you had a chance — that hard work and determination could carry
you forward. That belief is what has shaped my life and everything I’ve
fought for in public service.

I’m proud to be a Texan. But to be honest, the state I love has become
harder to recognize after more than a decade of Governor Abbott’s
disastrous leadership.

Communities are being left behind because Abbott is doing the bidding of
his billionaire donors, rather than working to improve the lives and the
opportunities of the people he was elected to serve.

Not only does Texas deserve better, but we also can do better. We can
elect Gina this year. And I know it’s possible because she’s already
within 3 points of Abbott in the polls — far closer than Beto or I ever
came.

I know Gina. I’ve watched her lead. And I’ve seen exactly what she’s made
of.

When her community’s schools were threatened, she didn’t wait — she
stepped up and fought back to keep schools open. When Abbott pushed the
agenda of the big corporations, she stood her ground and beat him again
and again. And, that kind
of leadership really matters.

Gina is the person we want leading Texas. And together, we can make it
happen.

Gina doesn’t need to match Abbott’s $67 million war chest to win, but she
does need all of us standing with her and giving this our everything.
