John,

We often celebrate Labor Day by taking a well-deserved long weekend, going on vacations, or getting with friends and families at cookouts.

Still, let us never forget the true meaning of Labor Day - a time to remember that the rights and successes of working people have always been won by having each other’s backs.

We’ve got a strong economy here in North Carolina, but as our economy continues to grow, we’ve got to make sure that everyone has the chance to participate in that success.

From the rural communities where I was raised to the urban and suburban areas I now represent in the General Assembly, every single North Carolinian has something only they can offer.

I’m dedicated to putting our values into practice. That’s why on this Labor Day, our campaign is committing to pay every one of our interns $15 an hour.

We need your help to expand the opportunity for young people to engage in our political system. Will you sponsor a campaign intern with a contribution of $150, $75, or even $15?

We know that our state is better when everyone has a seat at the table, and I hope you will help us provide more chairs at ours.

Join us today in building an economy that works for everyone.

Yours,

Chaz
