Dear John,
For decades, Dreamers, Temporary Protected Status (TPS) holders, and other people with temporary, liminal status have built their lives in the United States — raising American families, strengthening our communities, and building up our economy. But today, their futures are increasingly at risk.
Tell your representative to sign a petition that would force the House of Representatives to consider the American Dream and Promise Act.

Right now, Rep. Sylvia Garcia (TX-29) is leading a “discharge” petition that would require a House vote on the American Dream and Promise Act — a bill that provides a much-needed pathway to legal status for these communities. The petition needs 218 signatures from House members, which is a majority, before the bill can move forward for a formal vote.
The Trump administration is working aggressively to strip legal status from as many people as possible, and a recent Supreme Court decision [[link removed]] has left hundreds of thousands of TPS holders vulnerable to job loss and deportation. Congress has the power to provide permanent protections, but only if your representative acts.
Will you urge your representative to sign the discharge petition? We’ve made it easy to contact them with this simple form.
Every message helps build momentum to protect families, workers, and neighbors who have called this country home for years. Now, tell Congress it’s time to act.
Sincerely,
Nayna Gupta
