As we head toward November, the Young Democrats of Oregon will be launching our campaign efforts starting next week! We have targeted several seats across Oregon that we know Republicans are pouring money into to try to flip. 

On September 5th at 5:30pm, the Young Democrats of Oregon will be #CaringForOurCommunities in House District 37, home to State Represenative Rachel Prusak through the textbanking app - OutVote.

 Rep. Prusak is a Family Nurse Practitioner, who has spent her career caring for patients with disabilities and seniors, helping them age with dignity. Rachel ran for office in 2018 because she was tired of politicians trying to take away people’s health care.

 As State Representative, Rachel Prusak has fought to increase school funding, protect healthcare, and pass paid family leave and common sense gun safety measures. As a Nurse Practitioner, she brings a needed public health perspective to the legislature.

This is the perfect first campaign for us, because Rep. Prusak's campaign has been pioneering new ways to organize this election. With Team Prusak, we will be learning how to use OutVote - an app that makes relational organizing easy and accessible -- and a tool we're bound to use again since every Oregon Democrat running for House and Senate are using it!
