Typhoon Bavi tore through Guam, the Philippines, Taiwan, Japan and China
this month, killing dozens and triggering massive evacuations.^3 And in
East Africa, families in Kenya, Uganda and Somalia are bracing for
flooding and disease outbreaks on top of existing drought.^4

It's about to get worse, John. A major El Niño has arrived, and
scientists say it could be one of the strongest on record – bringing more
heatwaves, floods, droughts, and wildfires worldwide.^5
