John —

Since day one of this campaign, my team has organized a photo line after
every single rally and town hall.

For most politicians, a photo line is only what happens behind closed
doors at fundraisers. Some politicians charge tens of thousands of dollars
just to get a photo at these events.

Photo lines aren’t just about taking a bunch of selfies. It’s also a
chance to ask a question or advocate for an issue you care about.

One-on-one time with a candidate shouldn’t go to the highest bidders. If
I’m asking for your vote, I believe you deserve the chance to have a
conversation with me directly. There’s no Texan I don’t want to meet.

A lot of so-called experts would tell you not to do this. Getting through
the line at events as large as ours can take hours — often longer than the
actual program. But I stay until every single person gets a chance to meet
me.

It’s important to me to raise the bar on what you can expect from your
leaders, and for me, it’s a chance to hear from a lot more people. These
conversations have a direct impact on how I approach the issues facing
Texans.

[ [link removed] ]If you agree with this approach, I am humbly asking you to make a
contribution to our campaign today. Taking back Texas and changing our
politics requires all of us to play a role in the fight.

If you've stored your info with ActBlue, we'll process your contribution

How you run a campaign tells you a lot about how somebody will approach
the job.

The politicians who spend all day begging billionaires for money and
selling access to corporate donors will never put the people first. They
have sold us out.

If you send me to the U.S. Senate, I promise you that what’s best for the
people will always come first. You will never have to pay thousands of
dollars to reach me — I’m always up for a selfie!

James
