We have a real chance to change Canada’s future for the better, friend.
And the work that we’re doing together right now is essential in making that possible.
Last week, Justin Trudeau announced that a new Speech from the Throne will be presented on September 23rd, outlining our Liberal government’s plan for how we will keep Canadians safe and supported, invest in the middle class and the most vulnerable, protect a clean environment, and build a Canada that is stronger, more competitive, and more resilient. While some parties are focused on an election, our focus is on moving Canada forward and delivering support to Canadians.
While I am excited for the weeks and months ahead, we need to prepare for them now.
Whether in my time in government, or in the eight elections in which I’ve been a candidate, I can say from experience that having the tools you need and the support of others around you makes all the difference to achieving our goals. At this very moment, my own home province of New Brunswick is in the midst of a provincial election – and with Conservative leader Erin O’Toole promising to roll back our progress, that’s just one more reminder of how we always need to stay ready to keep Canada moving forward.
That’s why reaching our end-of-August online fundraising goal is so important. We need to continue growing our party and starting new conversations with Canadians in the weeks and months ahead, and I hope you’ll be a part of it, friend.
