During my recent Palestinian-led tour through the West Bank, my delegation and I were detained at gunpoint for over an hour by Israeli settlers carrying American-made M4 rifles. When the Israeli military arrived, they did not protect us; they stood with the settlers.
If this can happen to an American member of Congress, imagine what life is like for Palestinians who have no smartphones, no security detail, and no national platform.
Congress cannot continue sending military aid to a government that has committed genocide while American tax dollars are used to sustain violence, occupation, and the expansion of illegal settlements. It's time to demand accountability and bring an end to the apartheid system and settler violence in the West Bank.
