** Dear ,
------------------------------------------------------------
Thank you so much for your support of Democracy Now! It's only through your dedication to our daily news hour that Democracy Now! is able to put a spotlight on corporate and government abuses of power and lift up the voices of people working to make change in the United States and around the world.

In case you missed it, Democracy Now! host Amy Goodman recently sat down with Jeremy Scahill—co-founder of The Intercept as well as a former Democracy Now! producer—for the Intercepted podcast.

Amy and Jeremy discussed the possibility of war with Iran and how the Trump administration’s hostility toward the country echoes the George W. Bush administration’s build-up for war in Iraq in 2003. Amy also shared stories of her early work as a journalist, including her coverage of Indonesia's brutal occupation of East Timor, one of the worst genocides of the late 20th century.

If you haven't yet heard this compelling and personal interview with Amy, you can listen to it here. ([link removed])

NY1’s Errol Louis (also of CNN) recently interviewed Amy for his podcast You Decide, in an episode called "Amy Goodman: Giving Voice to the Voiceless." ([link removed]) Amy talked about what drew her to journalism, the history of Democracy Now! and her half-hour grilling of President Bill Clinton on Election Day in 2000—among other topics.

We need hard-hitting, independent news now more than ever—and that's what Democracy Now! brings our audience every day ... thanks to you!

Again, thanks so much for your support and I hope you enjoy listening to these interviews.

All the best,
Erin Dooley
