First, Justice Democrats faced a couple of hard losses in 2024, when AIPAC
successfully ousted Squad members Cori Bush and Jamaal Bowman from
Congress after the two leaders fought to end the genocide in Gaza.

Then, in April last year, Axios reported that “House Democrats' headaches
are about to get much worse” and predicted this year’s many primary
fights, quoting our Communications Director Usamah Andrabi:

Democrats, told Axios the number of House Democrats who ultimately draw
serious challengers “could be dozens — it could be a large portion of the
caucus.”

Now, one year later, we’re nearing the end of the 2026 election cycle with
8 primary victories — and we’re not finished yet.

After endorsing 15 primary candidates challenging out-of-touch Democratic
incumbents or running for open seats, we’re sending at least 6 new Justice
Democrats to Congress, with 2 additional candidates advancing to the
general, and 3 more primaries to go.

When all is said and done, we could see almost a dozen progressives join
our existing bloc in Congress, doubling our power in a single cycle!

That’s what happens when regular people in working-class communities
across the country come together and fight back against the billionaires,
super PACs, and corporate lobby groups. Organized people can beat
organized money.

What we’re seeing this year isn’t limited to a single moment or candidate:
this is what a people-powered movement that’s fed up with the status quo
looks like, and we’re not going anywhere.

against us, our wins are only possible due to grassroots contributions
