Dear Friend,

There are only a few days left to let the Trump administration know we don’t want “forever chemicals” in our drinking water. [[link removed]]

Nearly 27,700 Earthjustice supporters have already spoken out against the Environmental Protection Agency’s proposal to unravel the only federal requirements to remove toxic forever chemicals from our tap water. But we are still missing your comment, Friend. [[link removed]] Get your voice on the official public record today.

We need to flood the EPA’s inboxes with voices demanding protections from toxic chemicals. Send your letter by the Monday, July 20 deadline. [[link removed]]
Your comment sends a clear message to the EPA telling them to do their job and keep our families safe. We need to tell this administration the real way to “Make America Healthy Again” is to protect our communities from toxic chemicals like PFAS, not roll back existing safeguards at corporations’ request. TAKE ACTION [[link removed]]

Sincerely,
The Team at Earthjustice

Tell EPA: Protect our families from toxic PFAS [[link removed]]

TAKE ACTION [[link removed]]

Dear Friend,

The Trump administration boasts about its supposedly bold actions to clean up America’s drinking water. Yet it’s doing the opposite: unraveling the only federal requirements to remove toxic forever chemicals from our tap water. [[link removed]]

Every day, millions of people across the country drink water contaminated with toxic “forever chemicals” known as PFAS. This exposure poses severe health hazards, as PFAS are linked to serious medical problems, including cancer, infertility, and impaired fetal development.

TAKE ACTION [[link removed]]

After years of inaction by the federal government, in 2024 the Environmental Protection Agency finally established long-overdue limits on six PFAS in drinking water. Then Trump’s EPA came along. [[link removed]]

The administration announced plans to eliminate drinking water standards for four highly toxic PFAS. It also plans to allow water systems to delay compliance with the standards for two more. Who pays the price? Tens of millions of people whose drinking water is at risk – especially children, who face developmental damage from the chemicals.

Tell the EPA: Our families need protection from toxic “forever chemicals.” [[link removed]]

“PFAS” is short for per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances, a class of more than 12,000 chemicals found in everyday products like waterproof jackets, nonstick pans, food wrappers, and personal care products. They can persist in the environment for hundreds of years; readily spread in the air, soil and water; and remain in our bodies for decades. This is why they are known as “forever chemicals.”
For decades, companies have been allowed to manufacture and use PFAS and release these toxic chemicals into the environment with impunity, contaminating drinking water supplies for approximately 200 million people across the country. The EPA’s drinking water standards are a critical step toward addressing the PFAS drinking water crisis and helping communities across the country remove these dangerous chemicals from their water.

But instead of looking out for our health, Trump’s EPA wants to unravel the only federal requirements to remove toxic forever chemicals from our tap water.

We need to tell this administration the real way to “Make America Healthy Again” is to protect our communities from toxic chemicals like PFAS, and not roll back existing protections to increase corporate profits.
