John, it's Mark.
For all of us, taking back majorities in the House and Senate is incredibly important. It won’t be easy, though. The people running those races face a number of challenges. I know that all too well — my two campaigns for Senate were some of the most expensive in history.
It shouldn’t take millions and millions of dollars to run for Congress, but after Citizens United and the injection of unlimited donations from billionaires and corporate PACs, that’s the world we live in.
For my part, I’m going to do everything I can to level the playing field. I’ve endorsed a slate of candidates from Iowa, Nebraska, Texas, Florida, and Wisconsin — and any one of them could be the difference between a House controlled by Trump or one controlled by us.
These are their names:
Christina Bohannan, IA-01
Sarah Trone Garriott, IA-03
Darren McAuley, FL-12
Leela Gray, FL-13
Denise Powell, NE-02
Johnny Garcia, TX-35
Rebecca Cooke, WI-03
These are the exact kind of citizen leaders our country needs right now, and they have a really good chance of winning their races if they get the support they need.
We can make sure that happens, so I’m asking you to split a donation between each of their campaigns.
If you've stored your info with ActBlue, we'll process your contribution instantly between Christina Bohannan, Sarah Trone Garriott, Darren McAuley, Leela Gray, Denise Powell, Johnny Garcia, and Rebecca Cooke:
If you’re looking for a way to make a real difference this year, make that donation.
I know it will go to good use.
Thank you,
Mark
