John, I’m asking you to split a $3 donation between Democratic Values and our People-first Movement. Here’s why this is so important:
ONE: $3 keeps this Movement in the hands of People like you.
We’re building our campaign the right way — without checks from special interests and corporate PACs. We’re building it with People who work hard, love their families, and refuse to give up on our collective future. That matters because when a campaign is funded by the People, it has to answer to the People.
TWO: Grassroots fundraising has started to dip.
I don’t say this to scare you or pressure you into donating. I’m telling you this because I believe you deserve to know the truth.
Over the last month, grassroots fundraising has slowed down. And with less than a month until our August primary, we can’t afford to post a weak showing.
Not now. Not when People are watching to see if we have the strength to keep going.
Our momentum is real — but it has to be maintained, John. That’s where you come in.
THREE: $3 keeps us in the fight to save our democracy.
After the Supreme Court gutted the Voting Rights Act, Tennessee Republicans used that opening to pass new maps that erased TN-09 as the state’s only majority-Black, Democratic district.
That wasn’t an accident, John. It was a clear choice.
A choice to dilute Black political power.
A choice to carve up our communities.
And a choice to make it harder for our People to be seen and heard.
But we are not powerless. With your support, we will build a Movement strong enough and loud enough to withstand everything MAGA Republicans and the status quo throw at us so we can keep fighting for the future our communities deserve.
So I’m asking you right now to pitch in $3 or anything you can spare, split between our grassroots Movement and Democratic Values in the next 20 minutes to help us reverse our fundraising dip, keep our campaign in the hands of the People, and show that we refuse to back down.
