I want to take you back to August 2016, to an NBC News headline:

Hillary Clinton led Donald Trump by 9 points. I know it stings to remember -- but we must remember because the 2016 election taught us that we can't take any win for granted.

These poll numbers were unchanged for weeks. It was all but assured Donald Trump would lose because only 17% of all voters said they believed Trump had the personality and temperament to serve effectively.

What happened? Trump and his dark money allies spent huge sums to undermine and lie about Secretary Clinton. They unleashed false "October surprises." And they relied on bad actors from across the globe to manipulate our elections.

That's all to say that our campaign can't take anything for granted, including your support. We're asking because it matters, and it makes a huge difference in the fight against the millions on hand from the Republican Governors Association: Will you donate $5 or more to help us raise $40,000 before Monday's official end-of-month deadline?
