Hi John, it’s Roy Cooper, former Governor and current Democratic nominee for U.S. Senate here in North Carolina, and today, I’m asking you to chip in to Chuck Hubbard’s campaign. [[link removed]]
I didn’t plan to go to Washington. I have spent my career working for North Carolinians — serving folks right here at home by expanding Medicaid in our state, working to protect access to reproductive care and adding good-paying jobs. But because of extreme Republicans in Washington DC, we’re in danger of losing all of that progress.
That’s why I am asking you to support Chuck Hubbard. Because flipping North Carolina blue isn’t about just my race. We need to build a movement from the ground up, with strong leaders. At every level. All across the state.
Chuck is that kind of leader. He’s committed to fighting for working families and standing up for North Carolinians. He needs our help right now.
Far-right Republicans are preparing to spend whatever it takes to hold onto power in North Carolina. They don’t want to see candidates like Chuck win.
But I know we can win, and we won’t back down.
