Summer Newsletter

Greetings Bears Ears community. We at the Coalition hope you and yours are safe and healthy during this time. Our thoughts and prayers go out to those who have been greatly affected by COVID-19. This summer has been a moment of profound change in our global society. From the wide-sweeping impacts of the pandemic, to the social unrest that has shined a light on the progress we still must make; many people are working to find balance and peace in their lives. While these times may be filled with uncertainty, it is clear that the values of generosity, reciprocity, and kindness continue to reverberate throughout our communities, revealing how even in times of crisis, there are good things to be done.

In this edition of our newsletter, we would like to provide you with an update on our activities and explain what we've been working on during this summer of change. In balancing our work to assist our five member Tribes with their COVID-19 relief efforts, we continue to carry out our work to advocate for the protection of the Bears Ears cultural region and for the rights of the Indigenous peoples who are forever connected to it.

We are grateful for your continued support. Be well.
Thank you • Elahkwa • Ahéhee' • Kwakwhay • Askwali • Tog'oiak'
