DHS to Deny Green Cards to Immigrants on Welfare



America’s immigration policy is supposed to exist to improve the United
States. The Trump administration understands this basic concept.

The Department of Homeland Security is reviving a rule that could deny green
cards to foreigners who use food stamps, Medicaid, and housing vouchers. The
policy first took effect in 2020, but Joe Biden rescinded it the next year. It
will officially return on Monday.

Considering the U.S. has a $1.4 trillion budget deficit, it is hard to
understand how anyone could support importing immigrants who we know will suck
up tax dollars. Why would we open our doors to anyone who is not ready to

Trump Fires U.S. Attorney Minutes After He Takes Office



Roger Rogoff took office as Seattle’s top federal prosecutor on Thursday. His
term did not last long.

The Trump administration fired Rogoff less than one hour after his
swearing-in, kicking the longtime lawyer to the curb because Washington State
judges appointed him without the White House’s blessing. The quick dismissal
came after a group of 17 active and senior federal judges in the Western
District of Washington selected Rogoff to fill the vacant position.

The district in question has not had a Senate-confirmed U.S. attorney since
2023. The president is yet to announce his own nominee. Federal law allows the
attorney general to appoint an interim U.S. attorney, who is subject to a
120-day term. Once that period ends, the district court can either agree to
extend that prosecutor's tenure or appoint its own U.S. attorney until the
Senate confirms a replacement.Read more

REPORT: White House Teleprompter Operator Made Over $100,000 Betting on
Trump’s Speeches



Government employees receive many opportunities to get rich off insider
information. Donald Trump’s teleprompter operator appears to have repeatedly
cashed in.

White House technical assistant Gabriel Perez has allegedly made over
$100,000 by placing bets on the president’s speeches, exploiting his access to
Trump’s scripts by wagering thousands of dollars on what he would say in
certain addresses. The prediction market platform Kalshi reportedly alerted the
Commodity Futures Trading Commission about Perez’s bets after observing
suspicious gambles on what words, phrases, or topics the president would
include in his public appearances.

The White House condemned Perez as "a disgrace" after the allegations against
him made the news, and the administration has placed him on leave. A substitute

Trump Is Not to Blame for America’s “Explosive Diarrhea” Outbreak, White House
Says


Explosive diarrhea is taking America by storm. The White House says it is not
Donald Trump’s fault.

Karoline Leavitt denied on Thursday that America’s outbreak of a parasitic
illness that causes explosive and watery diarrhea is the result of the Trump
administration reducing public health funding. The White House cut surveillance
of the parasite responsible for the outbreak in 2025.

This fact check

federal health authorities were required to surveil the parasite Cyclospora
from 1997 until last year. The CDC has received reports of over 1,600 confirmed
cases of cyclosporiasis since May 1. Perhaps Republicans thought we could not
afford to continue spending money to prevent explosive diarrhea because they
wanted to send those tax dollars to Israel instead.Read more

Africa Has a New Monkey


This story is bananas.

Researchers have discovered a new species of black-furred monkey in the
Democratic Republic of the Congo. It has orange lips.

Named “Likweli” by the local Balanga people, this new monkey lives deep in
the jungles of Lomami National Park. Its lips and spiky hair make it unique
from its African brethren, and scientists determined that it is its own species
after years of close observation. The creature is just the fifth African monkey
species to be discovered in the last 75 years.

Can They Just Leave Us Alone?


Take a look at this map <[link removed]>.

It shows the vast array of locations throughout the United States that have
Automated License Plate Readers (ALPRs). All in all, the country is stuffed
with nearly 120,000 of these invasive cameras. Your city probably has them.

ALPRs are <[link removed]> AI-powered recording devices that capture and
analyze images ofall passing vehicles, storing details like your car’s
location, date, and time. They also capture data points like vehicle makes,
models, colors, and identifying features such as dents, roof racks, and even
bumper stickers.

Think these cameras, which local governments and police departments have
spent years installing, only monitor drivers suspected of crimes? Think again.
ALPRs collect data on millions of cars and trucks regardless of whether law
enforcement has any good reason to snoop on the people behind the wheel. Even
if you have no criminal record and have never even jaywalked, ALPRs are
watching you. They arealways watching you, and they share your information with
thousands of agencies nationwide. If that strikes you as a brazen Fourth
Amendment violation, then you are on the right track.

It should come as no surprise that many Americans are not enthused about this
1984-style surveillance. They do not want to get spied on. As a solution, some
have created an organization called DeFlock, which crafted the aforementioned
map. It exists to inform the population which locations they should avoid if
they want to maintain their basic privacy. The project performs a tremendous
public service.

The CEO of the company responsible for the majority of American ALPRs, called
Flock, disagrees. According to him, DeFlock is aterroristic organization. We
are not joking. He really said that.

“[America has] organizations like the ACLU and the EFF, who take an
above-the-board approach to fight for their point of view,”T-shirt-wearing CEO
Garrett Langley <[link removed]> told
Forbes earlier this month. “And then, unfortunately, there’s terroristic
organizations like DeFlock, whose primary motivation is chaos,” he added.

Got that? According to the guy leading the charge to strip Americans of their
basic ability to drive down the street without getting monitored, the people
providing transparency about his operation areterrorists. They are the ones on
the side of anarchy, he insists. But the precise opposite is true.

Governments that constantly spy on their populations deprive their citizens
of their autonomy. People behave differently if they think they are being
watched, self-regulating in completely unnatural ways. This is one of the
primary takeaways of George Orwell’s 1984. Big Brother did not coerce Winston
Smith’s comrades into compliance by sticking guns in their faces; he did so by
making it clear that everything they said or did was under surveillance.That is
true anarchy, because it creates conditions in which humans live without a
soul. America is far further down this path than most people would like to
admit. Preferring a course correction does not make you a terrorist.

July 17, 1941: Joe DiMaggio’s streak ends. The New York Yankees outfielder set
Major League Baseball’s hitting streak record during his sixth season,
recording a hit in 56 consecutive games. The streak broke “Wee” Willie Keeler’s
previous record of 44 games. DiMaggio failed to extend the streak to 57 games
on July 17th, grounding out twice, walking once, and hitting into one double
play against the Cleveland Indians. Heinz Ketchup had promised him $10,000 if
he reached 57, as their labels feature the number “57.” DiMaggio’s career
lasted 13 seasons, and he entered the Hall of Fame in 1955.
