Next month is full of opportunities for our movement of progress. As we work to endorse brilliant new candidates and elect reform-minded leaders in Lake County IL and Los Angeles, CA, we have a real chance to drastically ramp up our power and see our victories through to the November elections.
At its core, our work has been dedicated to revisiting and reimagining public safety by completely transforming a system that was built on principles of oppression and racism.
Black and brown bodies will never be truly protected in this so-called justice system. But together we can elect leaders who can start to bring the safety and security these communities deserve.
