Proven, Principled, Problem-Solver Campaign Newsletter | July 2026 |
The General Election campaign is underway, and we are moving forward with purpose, gratitude, and growing momentum.
Since advancing from the June Primary, I have continued traveling across California, meeting with educators, students, working families, small business owners, community leaders, and voters. Every conversation is an opportunity to listen, learn, and share how experienced leadership can help make California stronger and more affordable.
This month, I was especially honored to earn the endorsement of the California Teachers Association. As the daughter of a public school art teacher, this support is deeply personal to me and reinforces my commitment to strengthening education and expanding pathways to opportunity for every California student.
We are also continuing our 58 Counties. 1 California. video series, sharing the people, industries, landmarks, and communities that make every part of our state unique and strong. Thank you for continuing this journey with me. Together, we are building the coalition we need to win in November.

California Teachers Association Endorses Fiona Ma |
I am deeply honored to earn the endorsement of the California Teachers Association.
This endorsement is especially meaningful to me because my mother began her career as a substitute teacher before spending 20 years as a public school art teacher. I saw firsthand the difference educators make by encouraging students, recognizing their potential, and opening doors to opportunity.
California’s educators do much more than teach lessons. They help students build confidence, discover their talents, and prepare for their futures. They deserve a leader who listens to them, respects their profession, and understands the importance of investing in public education.
I was also proud to co-sponsor AB 65 with Assemblymember Cecilia Aguiar-Curry, the California Teachers Association, and educators and advocates throughout the state. The proposal called for up to 14 weeks of paid pregnancy disability leave for public school and community college employees. That policy was ultimately enacted through the 2026–27 State Budget.
As Lieutenant Governor, I will continue working to strengthen pathways connecting K–12 schools with community colleges, universities, apprenticeships, skilled trades, and the careers that will power California’s future. Thank you to the California Teachers Association for your confidence, your support, and everything your members do for California’s students. |
58 Counties. 1 California |
Last month, I shared why traveling to all 58 California counties has been one of the most meaningful experiences of my career. Now, we are sharing more of those stories through our 58 Counties. 1 California. video series. Each video highlights what makes a county special, including its people, industries, natural resources, history, and contributions to our state. |
Glenn County may be one of California’s smaller counties, but it plays an important role in feeding our state and nation. From rice, almonds, walnuts, and prunes to family farms and ranches, agriculture remains the backbone of this proud rural community. Glenn County reminds us that supporting California agriculture means supporting local jobs, small businesses, food security, and the families who keep our state moving. ▶ Watch the Glenn County Video |
Shasta County is where natural beauty, economic opportunity, and community come together.
Shasta Lake and Shasta Dam provide water, clean energy, recreation, and economic activity, while landmarks such as the Sundial Bridge help make the region a destination for visitors from across California and beyond. Shasta County is also powered by healthcare professionals, farmers, ranchers, foresters, small businesses, and hardworking families who contribute to the strength of Northern California. ▶ Watch the Shasta County Video |
San Diego County is a center of international trade, innovation, tourism, military service, and cross-border commerce.
Its connections to Mexico and the Pacific Rim make it essential to California’s economy, while its universities, research institutions, small businesses, and diverse communities help drive innovation and opportunity. San Diego shows what is possible when California embraces its role as an international economic leader.

Solano County occupies an important place between the Bay Area and the Sacramento region.
It is home to hardworking farmers, entrepreneurs, small businesses, and Travis Air Force Base, whose service members and civilian personnel play an essential role in our national defense and humanitarian missions around the world. Solano County represents service, agriculture, economic opportunity, and the strength of community.

From the California Trail
|
Over the past several weeks, I have continued meeting with organizations, young people, professionals, and community leaders throughout California. |
Supporting California’s Future Through the Conservation Corps |
I was proud to meet with members of the California Conservation Corps in Alameda County.
These remarkable young people protect our natural resources, respond during emergencies, support wildfire prevention and recovery, and gain the skills and experience they need to build successful careers. The California Conservation Corps demonstrates the value of combining public service, workforce development, environmental stewardship, and opportunity.

Building Economic Opportunity at the Juneteenth Exchange |
I joined entrepreneurs, executives, investors, and community leaders at the Juneteenth Exchange in Rancho Cordova.
The gathering was more than a celebration. It provided a platform for developing partnerships, expanding economic opportunity, supporting entrepreneurs, and strengthening communities. Building a more inclusive economy means ensuring that every Californian has access to capital, professional networks, mentorship, and the opportunity to succeed. | Celebrating Community Leadership with KACPA |
As a Certified Public Accountant, I was honored to deliver the keynote address at the inauguration of KACPA’s 44th president, Shin Suk Oh.
California’s professional organizations help strengthen our economy by supporting small businesses, mentoring the next generation, and helping families and entrepreneurs navigate complex financial decisions. |
Supporting Young Artists in Fontana |
I joined Fontana Mayor Acquanetta Warren, Superintendent Cali Binks, hundreds of families, and talented young performers for Uplifting Arts Academy’s “We Are One” spring recital.
Arts education helps students build confidence, creativity, discipline, and communication skills. These programs remind young people that their voices, ideas, and talents matter. Investing in the arts is an investment in California’s future. |
CELEBRATING AMERICA AT 250 |
This Independence Day marked the 250th anniversary of our nation.
As we celebrated, I reflected on the constitutional principles, checks and balances, and rule of law that have sustained our democracy. Our country is strongest when we protect our freedoms, respect our institutions, and remain committed to building a more perfect union that provides opportunity and justice for everyone. Happy 250th birthday, America. |
Our coalition continues to grow as the campaign moves toward November. I am proud to have recently earned support from leaders and organizations who understand the importance of experience, qualifications, and a proven record of delivering results: |
- California Teachers Association
-
Congressman Robert Garcia
- San Bernardino Mayor Helen Tran
- Culver City Democratic Club
|
Congressman Robert Garcia has been a strong advocate for working families, affordable housing, infrastructure investment, and equality throughout his career as Mayor of Long Beach and in Congress. |
Mayor Helen Tran understands the challenges and opportunities facing Inland Empire communities and has built her career around service, representation, and creating a stronger future for San Bernardino families. Watch Helen Tran's Video
The Culver City Democratic Club joins Democratic organizations from across California that are supporting a campaign focused on affordability, education, economic opportunity, and experienced leadership. |
Every endorsement strengthens the broad coalition of educators, workers, elected officials, healthcare professionals, public safety leaders, community organizations, and grassroots supporters standing with this campaign.
