July Young Dem of the Month



Congratulations to our July Young Dem of the Month, Pooja Ghadiali!

Pooja has built her work around advocacy, public service, and empowering communities across New Jersey. Through leadership in political, civic, and community spaces, she has demonstrated a strong commitment to creating opportunities for others and strengthening engagement among young people across our state.

Today, Pooja serves as the Chair of the New Jersey Young Democrats South Asian Caucus, where she works to build community, increase representation, and create space for South Asian voices within our organization and New Jersey politics. Through organizing efforts and engagement initiatives, she has helped strengthen connections between young Democrats and encourage greater civic participation.

Outside of NJYD, Pooja serves as an External Affairs Associate at the New Jersey Department of Banking and Insurance and has built experience across campaigns, government, and public policy. She previously worked as a Field Organizer for Congresswoman Mikie Sherrill’s re-election campaign and supported Democratic organizing efforts across the state. Her background also includes work in congressional offices, higher education policy research, and constituent services.
